Dawn Kwan is responsible for shaping and implementing Team4Tech projects, and leading Team4Tech’s operations.
Dawn’s previous experience in the nonprofit sector spans the areas of education, microfinance, and impact assessment. Recognizing that individual donors find it difficult to determine how to maximize the impact of their donations, she helped start a nonprofit organization called Philanthropedia that crowd-sourced expert opinions to help donors give more thoughtfully. Over two years, her research team identified over 100 top nonprofits with the help of 2,000 experts, and she helped manage Philanthropedia’s acquisition by GuideStar. She then went on to work at a nonprofit called Vittana, where she managed the micro-education loan portfolio in Southeast Asia to help disadvantaged students complete their higher education, providing loans to over 15,000 students with a 98 percent repayment rate.
Dawn holds a BA in International Relations from Stanford University.
